A Look at My Favorite Pieces from PXG SS22
February has been a highly anticipated month for me. Our PXG Spring/Summer 2022 launch date is here, and we have worked hard on this new collection. I can genuinely say it is the most exciting work we have done to date.
I am often asked what motivates the direction of a new collection. For me, Spring/Summer was about drawing inspiration from the colors of Arizona-from the red rocks of Sedona to the majestic blue waters of Lake Powell, this season exemplifies the energy and serenity of the Sonoran landscape. We pay tribute to that with our first drop of the season, featuring Arizona red and evening blue in our covetable key pieces this month.
For example, I am obsessed with how the pop of orange on the zipper perfectly complements the Evening Blue of this Bolero Puffer Jacket!
From the very beginning, our goal has been to cultivate Sport Fashion, and this is reflected in both of our brand staples, Bob’s Bunker and Renee’s Closet. Solution dressing is at the forefront of these designs, and standouts for me in Bob’s Bunker are definitely the Cargo Jogger and the Techno Buckle Pant.
While functionality is essential, we want to design pieces with an unexpected edge. Our first thought, let’s design clothing that will think for you. And so came performance snaps, detachable hoods, and intelligent pockets. From my experience on the course, when an unexpected Spring shower comes along, practical layers and utilitarian designs are essential!
My top pick for a versatile overlay is the long sleeve Zipper Polo. The fabric of this piece is divine, lightweight and fabulous stretch, it performs while looking great.
The energetic hues and the breathability in these perforated performance fabrics–Khakis, Italian knits, and Anorak sweaters–are all reflections of Spring. I’d have to say my most anticipated items of Renee’s Closet are our trend-driven dresses! I am already planning which pieces to pair with our newly introduced Cactus leather bags.
As every collection evolves, I’m proud to affirm that our commitment to sustainability remains a top priority. More than half of Spring/Summer is sustainably sourced and
produced. After all, if our vision comes from the beauty of our home, we’ve got to protect it.
I hope you love the collection as much as I do. Happy shopping!
