August 2025 – The Summer Scoop

From a girlfriends’ getaway in St. Tropez, to wedding toasts in wine country, to an unforgettable birthday week in Hawaii, it was a season where the days blurred together in the best way. Here’s a quick look back.

Summer always flies by, but this one felt especially packed – travel, celebrations, and time with my favorite people stacked one after the other. From a girlfriends’ getaway in St. Tropez, to wedding toasts in wine country, to an unforgettable birthday week in Hawaii, it was a season where the days blurred together in the best way. Here’s a quick look back.

St. Tropez

We started the season with a girlfriends’ trip to St. Tropez where we mixed a little shopping with plenty of sun! From Hermes appointments to browsing a few fabulous local boutiques, we found some great pieces to bring home with us.

We spent afternoons at some of the best day clubs, enjoying rosé in the sun, music in the background, and we had an incredible day out on the water by boat. There were afternoon gelato walks through the old port and a stop at Trinity, a local boutique, to pick up matching bag charms!

Evenings were for long dinners with incredible food and views. We went to La Petite Plage for fresh seafood right on the sand, Le Café for classic French dishes in the heart of town, and Matsuhisa for sushi and cocktails that rival any major city. Every day felt full and every night ended with us still talking at the table long after dessert.

Healdsburg

My sister Kristin and I flew to Healdsburg, California, to celebrate the wedding of a close family friend’s daughter.

The weekend was set at the Montage Hotel, surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills. It was so fun shopping for the perfect black-tie look and I ended up finding the most incredible Valentino beaded floor-length gown.

The weekend was everything you’d want in wine country, incredible wines, beautiful scenery, and perfect weather. We spent time with some incredible friends, and just enjoyed every part of this celebration.

Hawaii

Hawaii is always special, but it’s even better in the summer when we’re there for my birthday. The week was filled with celebrations, from our annual luncheon hosted by my friend Gail, to a fabulous Friday night dinner at Ulu – all in advance of a tequila tasting dinner and my incredible birthday dinner at home. The evening had the perfect Hawaiian sunset, stunning floral arrangements, and two surprise Labubu cakes! Which I’m still obsessed with – these were made locally by the Baskin Robins, which brought back so many memories of my childhood in Michigan.

One of the highlights of the trip was Bob’s book signing for Fire in the Hole. It brought together family and friends at Hualalai for a spirited fireside chat. We also hosted a colorful, laid-back Fourth of July that my mom and sisters joined. The puppies, all five – swam, snacked, and even posed for tropical-themed photos.

Cindy and Jolene, who have been obsessed with Mahjong for a while, finally showed me how to play (truth be told I had been dodging them for years 😆). In between, there was golf, pilates, and plenty of time to enjoy the island. Even with all the fun, work kept moving, but that’s the beauty of our routine there.

Back on the Mainland

Now we are back on the mainland and in the middle of the summer heat. It has been all about catching up on projects, PXG plans, and the usual day to day. Looking forward to launching PXG Apparel’s Fall/Winter season. It’s super chic!
