Being a Swiftie Knows No Age

Fun fact: I’m a Swiftie. Why? Taylor Swift embodies female empowerment. Like most women, she’s faced public scrutiny, sexism, and unfair power dynamics in business. Yet, she’s built a fanbase with revolutionary momentum. She’s taught women to reclaim their power (and songs), express emotions without shame, and persevere through hardships.

The emotions and experiences she sings about resonate with a fanbase broader than just teens and young women. So, when given the opportunity, I attended the Eras Tour.

My girlfriends and I celebrated the concert long before the show. Our trip began with a travel day filled with Taylor Swift magazines, pillows, bags, and other merchandise. In London, we enjoyed an incredible array of cookies, each designed with one of Taylor’s album covers. After a couple of nights, it was showtime! Our concert outfits featured cowgirl boots, heart-shaped glasses, and friendship bracelets. We attended London Night #1, and the energy was electric.

Being a Swiftie is simultaneously fun, validating, and emotional. As someone aiming to make the world a better place for women, I’m thrilled to fight for this cause alongside someone like Taylor Swift.
