December 2024 – Reflecting on The Wild West Invitational

December already!? Time flies! While this month is jam-packed with engagements that I look forward to sharing, I want to reflect on an incredible event from last month – The Wild West Invitational.

Each year, Bob and I host both a men’s and women’s golf tournament at Scottsdale National Golf Course; and this year was one for the books! We kicked off the Women’s Wild West Invitational on a Friday with some practice rounds of golf before heading to the Ladies’ Welcome Reception.

The reception began with a great performance from Yacht Rock Revue while we enjoyed an incredible array of food crafted by SNGC’s very own, Chef Mel Mecinas. This, along with the stunning event décor, set the perfect tone for our evening performance from none other than the Jonas Brothers!! A special thank you to Nick, Kevin, and Joe for giving us a spectacular performance!

The second day of this tournament was filled with events – breakfast at the clubhouse, 9 holes of golf, lunch, another 9 holes of golf, and a cart decorating contest (Cindy and I didn’t win, but I think we were snubbed! Haha!). After all this, the ladies and I headed to our “chipping contest” where we competed to see who can chip the closest to a flag! For those who weren’t feeling as competitive or needed some TLC, we accompanied this event with a massage station, bar cart, an inflatable slide, and some great music!

After this busy day, it was time for dinner, dancing, and live entertainment from Ava Max! This performance had all of us out of our seats, and I’m so grateful to Ava for an incredible show.

Sunday was the final day of the Women’s Wild West Invitational where we had breakfast, played our final 9 holes of golf, enjoyed lunch at PXG House, and concluded with “The Stampede”. This was followed by our trophy presentation (congratulations to Emily and Jen on their win!), and a final night of entertainment from DJ Rowshay.

But that’s not all! I was sure to join the following Friday’s festivities at the Men’s Wild West Invitational where Bob and his partner secured a tournament win via a near-perfect chip onto the green! After (literally) showering him with champagne and kisses, we wrapped up an unforgettable Wild West Invitational season with a performance from our friend, Darius Rucker.

Thank you to all the teams that helped make these tournaments a success, the members that made it unforgettable, and to all of you for keeping up with my life!

Until next time!

Xx
