If you haven’t heard me say this, I’ll say it again… it’s all about the details!! Little things make the biggest difference. Let’s walk through some key steps I take when hosting that you can implement into your next event:

Up first, we have drinks. If you’re hosting at home with a hired bartender or a theme, having a drink “menu” is a great way to elevate your event while guiding guests to order items you have supplies for. Bonus points if you name drinks after an element or person your event highlights! Two to three drinks are a great starting point. Pro tip: plan to have drinks ready to hand out upon arrival – it immediately helps break the ice.

Up next, dinner! Take the time and energy (if possible) to create menus, even if cooking at home. It gives an elevated and luxurious feel to your event. Separating food into “courses” takes your dining experience to the next level; aim to prepare a starter, a main course, and a dessert!

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, is décor. I’m a sucker for a good tablescape, and chances are, so are your guests! Placemats, name cards, napkin rings, candles, and floral arrangements will transform your gatherings. It’s a fun way to coordinate themes between your food and drinks, as well as any seasons or events accompanying your soiree. Fun fact: one of my girlfriends makes the majority of the floral arrangements we use for our girls’ nights. It keeps things lower-cost while making your event feel high-end.
