European Holiday
Hello and Happy Fall! I’m excited to share our recent European escapade with you. Joining me on this journey were my husband, Bob, and our dear friends, Jolene and Steve. Our itinerary was packed with excitement, taking us through three stunning European destinations: Evian, France; Monte Carlo, Monaco; and the beautiful island of Sicily.
Evian, France:
Our adventure began in the charming town of Evian, nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva. The highlight of our stay here was the golf experience at the Evian Resort Golf Club, where PXG pro, Celine Boutier, recently won the Amundi Evian Championship. The course was challenging, and after playing it ourselves, we were even more impressed with Celine’s skill and precision.
One sunny afternoon, we took a boat ride on Lake Geneva. I was in heaven enjoying the cool breeze on the water, especially after such a hot Arizona summer. We watched the shoreline whip past us as we glided on the vibrant blue water.
Monte Carlo, Monaco:
Next, we ventured to the fabulous Monte Carlo where we visited our good friends. They were incredible hosts and showed us their favorite spots in the city. One evening, we dined at Le Louis XV – Alan Ducasse overlooking the iconic Monte Carlo Casino. We enjoyed people watching as one exotic car after another rolled up to the valet. After dinner, we grabbed drinks at the famous Buddha Bar. It was the perfect way to end the evening.
Before jetting off for our final leg of the trip, I popped into the cutest dog boutique. Of course, I had to bring back some goodies for the girls – the most adorable matching sweaters. Here is sweet Five and Sixx modeling theirs.
Sicily, Italy:
Our final stop took us to the beautiful island of Sicily where we stayed at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina where season two of the hit series “White Lotus” was filmed. Walking around the beautiful hotel, we felt like we were part of the show! Luckily, we enjoyed our time there much more than the characters in the show 😉
The San Domenico Palace is as beautiful as it appears in the show. The service was exceptional, and the views were breathtaking at every turn. We dined at all of their restaurants and enjoyed a spectacular dinners paired with delicious Italian wines. The Bolognese was to die for!
As I sit here, reminiscing about our European holiday, I can’t help but feel grateful for the incredible experiences shared with friends. Travel is not just about the places you visit but the memories you create along the way. Here’s to more adventures and unforgettable moments in the future!
