My favorite trip of 2019

I'm reminiscing. Who isn't?

As we all settle into this new normal, I am reminiscing more often than ever before. A quick scroll through my camera roll brings back such great memories of family gatherings, fundraisers and girl’s nights out. Lately, I’ve also been thinking about traveling and how I’ll never take it for granted again.

The best trip I took last year was to New Orleans. And, I didn’t plan a thing!

It was my 10th wedding anniversary with my husband, Bob. He arranged the entire vacation. I didn’t even know where we were headed until the plane took off.

One of the first things we did was take a stroll through Jackson Square. I was not prepared for what happened next.

A flash mob surprised me in the middle of the park, dancing to songs from our wedding.

After that surprise, we had our caricature drawn by professional artist, Andrew Wilkie.

The food in New Orleans was impressive! One of my favorite restaurants was Brennan’s. I loved its authentic vibe. And, their famous bananas foster is legendary for a reason.

We also took a tour of the Garden District and ate at Commander’s Palace. The live music and ambiance were incredible.

I loved our anniversary trip to Nola. It was a special memory I’ll hold on to forever. I can’t wait to see how we celebrate our twentieth!
