Packing Must-Haves for Cold Weather Travel

Heading somewhere chilly? Here are my five must-haves.

Whether it’s a holiday getaway to Aspen or a quick winter weekend in D.C., here’s a look at my five must-haves for those chilly destinations.

Comfortable, Chic Shoes

Traveling is filled with beautiful sights, new foods… and lots of walking.  At the end of a long day, I am always shocked by the steps my Apple Watch tracks. That’s why having cute, comfy shoes is a must. In general, I love a sleek, slip-on tennis shoe. I also love a pair of Golden Goose Purestars.

Crossbody Bag

When it comes to handbags, travel is the time to choose fabulous and functional – not that oversized, woven tote with tassels in your closet. This mini crossbody bags is ideal. It is lightweight and perfectly fits my Chapstick, wallet, phone and glasses. It allows me to shop, eat and tour the city handsfree.

Little Black Dress

The fun thing about travel, is you don’t always know what to expect, or where a night is going to take you. That is what makes a LBD such a necessity. I can dress it up with a cinched coat and pumps or dress it down with a cute ponytail and moto jacket.

Moisturizer

Barbara Sturm moisturizers

Cold weather means dry, chilly air that drains moisture from skin. I always pack my Barbara Sturm moisturizer. It gives my skin that extra dose of hydration, keeping my face fresh all day and night.

Basic Black Wrap

I love packing a black wrap because it doesn’t take up much room in my suitcase and it is so versatile. It pairs with mini, midi or maxi dresses or skinny jeans and a chic top. I wear wraps on or off the shoulder, depending on the outfit.
