PXG Polos push golf’s traditional boundaries
Before I took the lead at PXG Apparel, I was on an endless hunt for stylish, performance-driven golf attire. I wanted sun protection, flexibility, stretch, and modern styles that featured a flattering silhouette. There was nothing on the market that had everything I wanted.
So, if you can’t beat them, start your own apparel collection and build a brand unlike anything else in the industry. That’s how the saying goes, right?
Since becoming President and Executive Creative Director in late 2018, PXG Apparel has taken on a big task. Defy golf’s stuffy norms and evolve the way golf clothes are perceived. We are designing fashionable styles that you can wear on and off the golf course. Our Fall/Winter 2020 Collection delivers fitted bomber jackets, soft cashmere sweaters, flirty checkered skirts, and quilted puffer coats.
The collection also includes a garment I’m incredibly proud of, the RP Signature Polo Dress.
I began sketching this dress in early 2019. I set out to create a dress that encompassed all the performance features a golfer needs and all the design details a woman wants. The dress is sewn from lightweight, Italian fabric blends. Its chic silhouette is accented by a kick-pleat skirt and jacquard detailing on the collar and sleeves. The dress also features snap button plackets and hidden back and side zippers.
In addition to elevating the traditional polo dress, we also introduced custom polo patterns to the Fall/Winter 2020 Collection. We launched our custom Pin Flag, Plaid, Pinstripe, Darkness Skull, Infinite Logo and Crossed Driver patterns. The apparel team and I had a lot of fun creating each design. We meticulously modified every fabric swatch, color and pattern spacing.
These new designs are testament to how we prioritize performance and style. PXG Apparel is pushing boundaries while upholding the innovative, forward-thinking reputation established by our golf clubs.
