Things to Do in the City That Never Sleeps

Here are my NYC staples!
NYC Blog Option 1

I ❤️ NY. There’s something about the energy and excitement of this city that makes it truly one-of-a-kind. So, without further ado, here are my NYC staples!

Iconic Neighborhoods

I love to frequent:

  • SoHo: Known for its trendy boutiques, art galleries, and cast-iron buildings.
  • Greenwich Village: A historic neighborhood with a rich cultural scene and some of the best food in the city.
  • Upper East Side: Known for its museums, luxury shopping, and classic New York City charm.

Art and Music and Shows, Oh My!

Here are some of the best:

  • The Met: The exhibits are breathtaking. I especially enjoy the annual Costume Institute Exhibition which correlates with the MET Gala theme each year.
  • SIX on Broadway: We loved this pop-concert musical written from the perspective of Henry VIII’s six wives. Be sure to consult your hotel concierge for the most up-to-date Broadway must-sees – they’re an excellent resource.
  • Live jazz at Bemelmans Bar inside the Carlyle Hotel: This bar is elegant, classy, and sophisticated. The live jazz music and martinis are the perfect way to enjoy an NYC evening!

A Food Lover’s Paradise

My current lineup includes:

  • Brunch at Le Bilboquet NYC: This French-inspired bistro is glamorous, delicious, and a must-visit. Hot tip: the boozy brunch on Saturday is a riot, while Sunday’s brunch remains a classic.
  • Lunch at Sant Ambroeus: This Manhattan restaurant transports you to Milan with its authentic flavors and elegant ambience. It’s the perfect midday shopping break!
  • Dinner at Ralph Lauren’s Polo Bar: An establishment we’ve frequented for years when craving American classics. This spot is always buzzing! Hot tip: reservations open 30 days in advance via email.

Shop ‘till You Drop

A shopper’s dream come true – here are some of my favorite places on the city’s most iconic avenues:

  • 5th Avenue: Hermes, Dior, Celine, and, of course, Bergdorf Goodman – where you can get lost for hours!
  • Madison Avenue: Brunello Cucinelli, Ralph Lauren, Prada, Valentino, and Etro.

Whether you’re a foodie, a fashionista, or an adventure-seeker, there’s something for everyone in NYC. Happy exploring!
