October 2023 – Falling for Fall

It's that time of the year when the air gets crisper, and if you live outside of the desert, the leaves begin to change color, making everything feel cozy and inviting.

Falling for Fall

I hope this newsletter finds you all well and enjoying the beauty of fall. It’s that time of the year when the air gets crisper, and if you live outside of the desert, the leaves begin to change color, making everything feel cozy and inviting. Here in Scottsdale, we’ve been relishing the arrival of cooler weather and taking full advantage of the golf season at Scottsdale National Golf Club.

Golf Season Kick Off
Scottsdale National officially kicked off its golf season on September 30th, and I couldn’t be more excited. It was so fun to be reunited with members I haven’t seen in a while. We caught up and enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by the talented Chef Mel, and delicious wines chosen by our master sommelier, Shaun Adams. SNGC is my happy place, and I can already tell that we’re in for some excellent days on the fairways.

Football Fever
What’s fall without a little football, right? My husband Bob and I have been eagerly following our favorite NFL teams, the Baltimore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raiders. The excitement of each game and the camaraderie of watching with friends and family really adds to the magic of the season. We’ve even caught a couple Raiders games in-person at the Allegiant Stadium. Go Raiders and Ravens!

Libra Season
Speaking of celebrations, October is here, and it’s Libra season! Last weekend, my girlfriends and I gathered to celebrate October birthdays together. We decided on the new, local Scottsdale restaurant, Arboleda. The evening was a delight as we indulged in Spanish cuisine. There’s nothing quite like celebrating with good friends and great food.

Looking Ahead to the Holidays
As the days grow shorter and the nights cooler, I can’t help but think about the upcoming holiday season. It’s hard to believe it’s just around the corner. For now, I’m enjoying the calm before the busy holiday season descends upon us. It’s a time to reflect, be grateful for the moments we’ve shared throughout the year, and to start planning for all the joyous gatherings ahead.

I hope you all have a wonderful fall season, filled with laughter, good company, and plenty of exciting adventures.

Xx
